tasman sculpture

Every bag has it’s own tasman sculpture holding the back together.

The “bronze Tasman” holds the whole bag together through the continuous fall around flap. Basically it is a sort of “ode to the man” where people long to belong. There is a need to feel connected to each other , to feel linked and united together feeling supported through rough times.

The BRONZE Tasman is made out of bronze and is designed and sculptured by Astrid Stoltenborg. It is made with the CERAMIC shell casting method for precise casting results, which is also the most environmentally friendly way of bronze casting and provides about 85% less waste and reduced energy consumption compared with conventional casting methods by as much as 65%.
